Do you want to know how to work computers?
Silver Surfers is a community computing project running at St Barnabas Church in Manor Road Mile Oak.
It is called Silver Surfers because it was originally set up to help older people get some of the
benefits that are found with email and the internet.
For the older person these include email for contact with friends and family and use of the
internet for general interest browsing or things such as shopping from home and making appointments
with GPs and other important services.
Many of the people who joined in spring 2008 now
have their own computers at home and make regular use of the internet and email.
Perhaps you know how to use computers but you want to build some extra skills to help get a job.
Maybe you want some help with applying for jobs online. Come and see us and we'll see what we can do.
Just come along
on a Monday or a Wednesday between 7:30 and 9:00 or you could
contact John on 01827 706751
If you would rather make initial contact by email you can reach John by email... here
